Recruiting & Marketing Tips

Texas A&M actively advertises its DE programs through the TAMU home page, press releases, print advertisements, direct mail, brochures, flyers, and other advertising items. Brochures can be prepared for faculty who wish to distribute these at meetings or through the mail. Departments planning to run paid advertising for thier distance programs should contact the Office of Distance Education. In some cases the Office may share a portion of the advertising cost with the department. Contact the Marketing Coordinator as early as possible for approval.

Distance Education Marketing

The Office of Distance Education handshakeemploys a full-time Marketing Coordinator, Jennifer Yarbrough, who consults with departments and colleges to develop comprehensive marketing strategies for their distance programs. Ms. Yarbrough's services include brochure and flyer design, press release and article writing, marketing analysis and more. She may be contacted at 845-8083 and jyarbrough@vprmail.tamu.edu.
